We take the time to truly understand each client's needs, routines, and preferences, creating a care experience built on trust and genuine human connection.

From companionship and daily living assistance to meal preparation and mobility support, our dedicated caregivers go beyond basic care. They bring warmth, respect, and peace of mind to every family we serve.

Meet our founders

Golden Connect is owned by Karen and Beryl, who have a combined 30+ years of experience in the Emergency Department at Dignity Health Folsom (formerly Mercy Folsom).

Karen Silcox

Registered Nurse · Co-Owner

With 17 years of critical care experience at the local Emergency Department of Mercy Folsom, I've honed my skills and dedication to serving our community. Alongside my nursing career and ownership of a health coaching business, I am thrilled to extend my passion further through Golden Connect.

Our mission is to provide compassionate and dignified care for those needing assistance while allowing them to maintain independence in the comfort of their own homes.

My other life passions include my family, travel, an active lifestyle, and my dogs.

Beryl Abelardo

Registered Nurse, MBA · Co-Owner

Beryl is an experienced and passionate entrepreneur dedicated to serving the elderly. With a strong background in critical care nursing and 17 years of invaluable experience in the Mercy Folsom ER, Beryl's commitment to providing exceptional care is evident.

After completing her MBA, Beryl successfully started her own Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE), Meryl's Board and Care Home. With Golden Connect, she's extending compassionate care to seniors in the comfort of their own homes.

Beryl's unwavering dedication to serving the community drives her efforts to improve the lives of seniors and contribute to their well-being.
